How can I ensure gift messages in cart notes reach Printful?

Hi Shopify Community!

I'm starting a store that offers several items via the Printful Integration.

I would like to enable something so that the customers can write a gift message in the cart and know for sure that the message will make it through the Printful system and end up on the package slip that the gift recipient will receive.

In Shopify, I have enabled cart notes. How do I know that these notes will connect to the Printful system? 

If there's another way to do this, I'd appreciate learning from you!
