How can I find free variation or option apps on Shopify?

Hi all, I never used shopify before, been using mostly free cart shop systems. I'm moving to shopify to get some better results and maybe help grow the business a bit. I'm setting up my store and finding out the variation limit issue. Strange all the free ones had this.

I'm looking for a very basic drop down system. My buyers need to specify a few things.  A good common analogy would be a shirt, size color, style, etc... In my case making separate items is just going to annoy and confuse my buyers.

The best way to get around this that I can find is an app. But there is no "free" search. I guess Shopify is all about people having to pay. I guess that makes sense but some of us are still small businesses. I did find one free app but it was crippleware, and you could not set a cost per variation. So it was HAHA, buy it now sucka!

What I'm wondering is, is there no way to search for free apps? I can not filter anything, just search. Failing that, does anyone know of a variation or option app that does not want to clobber you monthly?

Hoping to fix some of the pit holes I run in to. With so much basic stuff missing, I'll be making a second house payment.

I think EXPO - Extra Product Options by seedgrow, is the winner here. So far it has all the options and does not nag about upgrading. Though so far it does not show up. I could just be missing something. support is also broken so had to email for help. Will report back.

Yes, EXPO - Extra Product Options is a good-to-go app, with its only downside being it creates unwanted variants in the listing after you select some option and proceed to buy it.

But there is no other way to update the price in Shopify right now since the checkout page is non-customizable for Basic Shopify users.
