How can I manage subscription bundles with free gifts on Recharge?

We are currently using recharge for single items and it's working great. We want to begin using it for our bundles, but with one small issue.

Some of our bundles have free gifts. Ex: Bundle "A" has 2 core items, and 1 free gift. Is there a way or what is the best way to only have the 2 core items ship if bundle "A" is added to subscription?

So first order includes all 3 items but if set up for subscription only the 2 core items ship going forward.

Is this possible with recharge or through other apps?
