How can I set conditions for a welcome discount offer on specific products?

Hello.

I've searched the forum and from the answers, I'm going to guess this needs to be an app option.

I have a welcome discount offer, but I want to exclude certain products/collections from the welcome discount, such as products that are already on sale.

I can't use the Shopify standard discount options as the only options are product discount with conditions, and order discount off every product in your store. The only condition I'm able to set is minimum purchase, which I have set.

It appears I need something that is a mix of both. I don't know why the Shopify order discounts option can't have conditions but it would be a useful feature and I'm surprised this isn't already an option.

Any suggestions?

Hi.

Shopify Discounts can be specific to a collection,

and a collection can be automated regarding certain conditions like price, inventory, product tags...

I'm afraid I haven't researched this myself very much, but have you looked into if a combination of these features can be a solution to you?

Thanks for the reply. To be honest, I can't replicate what you are showing, but this wouldn't be what I was looking for.

I just want to exclude certain collections from a discount code for the customers first order. Not just a discount specific certain collections.

Apps don't appear to have this option from what I've seen so far.

Hello.

I was looking for the option to be a manual code that the customers enter. I did find an app that adds a 10% discount tick box on to the product page, like on the Wish shopping app. However, I've decided against that as I feel it wouldn't look right on my store.

If I'm honest, I think i'm just going to have to manually manage what I'm trying to achieve. By that I mean removing the discount when customers add it to a product that is already on sale, since I can't exclude them natively in Shopify.
