How can I use a metafield as translation for another in Channel Engine?

Hi, I'm looking for an app or solution.

I want to be able to use a metafield as translation for another metafield and I can't seem to find anything like that. I use Channel Engine to import data to Shopify, this includes the metafields, don't know if this is important.

Does anybody know what my best options are now?

Could I maybe, instead of using Channel Engine, use the Shopify API to directly add the translation of a metafield?
