How can I use the Billing API externally for app installation?

Hello,

The tutorial explains how to use the Shopify CLI to add billing when installing the app for recurring and one time cost. But, I would like this Billing to be an external process.

How do I use the Billing API externally? I would ideally like to redirect the user to a page to view the Billing plans on a different site after installation. Once the user picks the plan and price, I would like to call the Shopify Billing API. How do I achieve this?

Hi,
You can redirect user after app is installed & on your site, you need to again redirect to his store after billing, but shopify will not allow this, they will not approve your app.

Hi @DigiXoft and @lifesight_user Have you been able to use the billing api outside shopify? I'm currently struggling to add something similar to my saas.

Were you able to find the solution for this. I had a chat with Shopify team, as per them, they do allow external subscriptions as long as there is at least one time payment happens on the app.

But when we submitted the app for approval, they are again repeating the same story.  Were you able to find some solutions.
