App reviews, troubleshooting, and recommendations
Im trying to create a local inventory feed that can be used in Google Merchant Center. I have tried the Google App but it sends completely wrong stock level data.
What other apps can you recommend that actually formats the feed the way Google needs it?
Certainly! Here are concise recommendations for creating a local inventory feed for Google Merchant Center:
1. DataFeedWatch:
- Platform for feed management.
- User-friendly interface.
- Customization options for accurate stock data.
2. Feedonomics:
- Optimizes feeds for various channels.
- Advanced customization and mapping.
- Ensures accurate stock levels.
3. GoDataFeed:
- Feed management and optimization.
- Mapping, filtering, and scheduling.
- Customizable to align with Google's requirements.
4. Channable:
- Manages feeds for e-commerce channels.
- Rule-based transformations.
- Supports Google Merchant Center.
5. Merchant Center Feed (Shopify App):
- Shopify app for Google Merchant Center.
- Streamlines feed creation.
- Integrates with the Shopify platform.
Check compatibility, and user reviews, and stay updated on Google's requirements.

I am using Channable currently and they cannot create a local inventory feed. They have an export option with local inventory but it does nothing besides preparing the name-convention for the requires fields.
My issue is the feed should create a row for each item at each local. I have 22 locations and dont know how to automate that structure.
Is there any of the recommendations you have used yourself and seen work?
If you are seeing the wrong stock levels, then I guess you have multiple locations? If so, you can define the locations the stock levels need to be collect, by using an app such as : https://apps.shopify.com/multiple-google-shopping-feeds
You are right. I have 22 locations.
Does the app you linked structure the feed so it can be pushed directly to GMC? 🙂
Nearly directly, you do have to choose the correct options to pull the inventory value. But it's pretty straight forward.
Hi Emmanul
I just tested the app. Does not look like it can handle several locations in the same feed. Am I wrong?
That is correct, reason: because that is not how Google Merchant Center works.
You need to submit 1 feed per country/language/currency, as per requirement by Google.
This is not a good option, as this app charges when you have more than 10 products. LOL
Indeed, I don't think shopify will ever be in a position where it will have all the functionality built in. There are too many users with different requirements. If you find an app that fixes the issue and it's free, do share!
