How do I add a separate one of charge when customising a product, no matter the quantity?

Hey 

So this is an embroidery business, but to set up a new logo there is a one off £25 charge that needs to be separate rather than built into the item cost. So it can't be added as a variant, because if someone orders 10, the £25 fee would be built in and charged 10 times.

Yes, it is possible to extra charge the customers with £25. So what can be done, a checkbox option to add a new logo or not can be given on product page and if it is checked an extra product of £25 will be added with the main product. It will be like a bundle products. If the main product is removed from cart the extra product will be removed too. It might be sound technical for you so you will need a developer for it. 

Or else you can use any custom options Shopify app but mainly for extra charges there are paid version.

you can create a separate product which will have the cost of logo upload.

Now we will add an upload logo option on the product page where user can upload the logo.

once logo upload detected a hidden product of cost 25 will be added along with your real product.

By this you will be able to change the cost of logo upload.
