App reviews, troubleshooting, and recommendations
Hello everyone! We have an application that we promote in different ways: google, facebook, shopify partners.
Installed analytics for listing, set the target for clicking on the ADD APP button.
How can we track from which traffic channel the application was actually installed?
Example: there were 500 clicks on a button from Google, 300 clicks from Facebook, 250 from direct login.
During this period, there were only 200 installs,
how can we find out from which advertising channel these 200 app installs were? I would be grateful for your answers.
Hey, @Mihail_Shamrin
You can find this information in the Google Analytics > Acquisition > All Traffic > Channels:
Just click on the social channel to get more details. It is not exactly what are you asked about as there only goals from the social networks, so you cannot see completed goals form the direct search, but I hope my answer can direct you in the right way 🙂
Thanks for the answer! I know this, but has this click on the button finished installing the application or not?
I need to track the effectiveness of the channels for promoting our application for each of the channels.
100 users clicked on the INSTALL APP button from Google ads. How many of them actually installed the app through this ad channel?
It seems that it is tracking just only clicks and not completed installs, unfortunately.
Hi Mihail,
Did you find any tool or way to see these data? We're using App Store Analytics IO and it also gives the search keys and other sources that you get install action but I stuck at the same point with you. I cannot see real installs and I don't know how many of install clicks are actual installs. Please let me know if you found a way 🙂
Hello,
We are sending traffic directly to our app's Shopify page through Google Ads or other paid sources. Users click on the "Add App" button and are redirected to our app's onboarding page. We want to track the the source of installs in our shopify app store listing. In GA4, all the installs are showing "direct" sources and not from the ads.
Thanks in advance!
Alex
