App reviews, troubleshooting, and recommendations
I sell several products only as multipacks and used the Shopify Bundles App to create these multipacks from the single-unit SKU. However, none of the Bundle products will publish to Google Merchant Center or any other External Sales Channels. It looks like only the single-unit SKU can be published.
I have not found good insights on any existing threads in the Community.
I did read in the Google Merchant Center Documentation that it is possible to set attributes such as [is_bundle] and [multipack], but I do not find these as options in the Google Plugin in Shopify.
Long story short: How do I publish multipacks from Shopify Bundles to Google / External Sales Channels?
Or what are alternative solutions?
Thanks!
Hi @berlin1,
I understand your issue. Unfortunately, bundles created through Shopify Bundles are not compatible with external third-party sales channels. We have encountered many merchants with the same problem, which is why we developed our own bundles app called Profit Bundles. With Profit Bundles, the bundles you create are compatible with all sales channels. Please take a look at the app.
We also offer a free 1:1 onboarding meeting to address any questions you may have and help you get started quickly.
Thanks. I'm not super inclined to grow my tech stack (and associated app costs) any more at this time, but I will take a look 🙂
I recommend creating a new product for the bundles, or create a variant. If you use a 3rd party app, you will not be able to submit these external products. In any data feed app.
Thanks for your feedback. Only issue for us is that we have a fulfillment company docked to our orders and they need the single unit SKU's to fulfill correctly. Shopify Bundles App triggers the single unit SKU's in the bundle, so that part worked great. If we created a new product for the bundles, then our fulfiller would need to do the same to understand what the bundle consists of...
Hi @berlin1 , as we encounter the same problem now I'm curious how you solved it.
We work close with our fulfiller, so they created new SKU's for us. There are some Shopify apps but it's not clear that they will all connect well with the multitude of marketplace apps out there. Also, we do not want to further expand our tech stack, as these costs add up so quickly.
