How do I publish my first app on an ecommerce platform?

Hey, I'm pretty new to the world of Shopify, but I've got some experience with similar platforms.

I've finished my first app and I want to offer it either in the store or as a custom solution.

But I'm totally inexperienced when it comes to publishing on Shopify.

  • Which hosting service is best for this?

  • What else needs to be considered? Are there any other important things I should be aware of?

This is an accepted solution.

Bad questions get bad answers that have generally been answered before findable with research.

"best" is super ambiguous, meaningless to your specific needs, and just results in vague recommendations, or listicles you can find through google.

Define your requirements , shortlist known services, then research and test. There is no replacement for that.

Overly broad there's a massive list of stuff to consider findable with research, example listicle:

  • review the app submission guidelines
  • If using a metered service make sure to set budget caps and notifications.
  • Test like your a new user, make documentation findable online.
  • Join the partner slack channel,  found through the shopify partner dashboard.

Goodluck.
