How does the Shopify page display external information

For example, I want to set the user to browse once and add one point, and then I have my own database to record. When the user browses once, I send a request to my database, and then request my database to get his total points in Shopify user center and display them on the page. I want to know how a page of Shopify can display external data, Are there any code examples or relevant documents? Thank you
