I’m a developer working on warranty and protection plan solutions for Shopify merchants. Currently, I add warranty offers and UI customizations on the merchants’ Product Details Pages (PDP) and checkout flows.
I want to explore if there is any possibility to add custom UI extensions or upsell widgets directly inside the Shop Pay app—for example, on the product browsing pages or store listings within the Shop Pay mobile or web app.
Specifically, I’m looking for answers to these questions:
Does Shop Pay support third-party app or UI extensions inside its app interface?
Are there any APIs, SDKs, or partner programs to enable such customizations?
If this is not supported, what are the recommended best practices to provide warranty upsells effectively to customers who use Shop Pay?
I appreciate any insights, official documentation, or personal experiences that you can share.
