How to automate warranty registration and purchase for multiple marketplaces?

Hello all, we are looking for an app that help us with our warranty program.

 

But first, a little background:

 

We sell on multiple marketplaces in addition to our own website.

 

We use a listing agent that processes all orders through Shopify.

 

We offer our customers a free warranty for manufacturer defects, but they must register on our site to receive it.

 

We want to offer a paid plan as well in the near future.

 

We want to handle everything in house (claims, payouts etc.) which is why regular warranty apps/companies are not suitable since they all entail using a 3rd party insurer at some point.

 

We include a card with a QR code in each order that leads the customer to a page with a registration form they can fill out regardless of what channel they purchased from us on.

 

Our current set up just involves a good deal of manual work and is not sustainable as the program picks up speed. As such, we want to automate the process as much as possible.

 

 

With that said, we make our way to our actual request:

 

Our ideal scenario is as follows:

 

A customer follows the link to a form where they enter their order number.*

 

If the date of delivery is more than X days ago then they are not permitted to register with an error message stating the reason.**

 

If permitted to register, the products from the order are brought up and the customer selects which ones they want to insure* in addition to filling in their name, email etc.

 

The customer then chooses what warranty they would like to purchase and for which products. For example, A just gets the free warranty while B gets both the paid and free warranty.

 

If they are just registering for the free warranty, upon successful submission of the form they are automatically sent a conformation email with a policy number and a copy of the form.

 

If they purchase a paid plan, upon successful submission of the form they are brought to the checkout page to pay for it (the price being determined by a percentage of the sale price for the insured item) and are then sent a conformation with their policy number and the relevant information.

 

 

All of the information needed is already in Shopify, we just need something that can pull and organize it (into a form or a page or what have you) as well as generate an "order" for the customer to purchase when appropriate.

 

We are not opposed to building a custom app to do this but off the shelf or modified off the shelf would just be simpler.

*Customers who order from 3rd party sites do not receive their Shopify order number, but we are given the order number from the channel in the “ADDITIONAL DETAILS” of the order in Shopify.
