App reviews, troubleshooting, and recommendations
Hello!
I have developed a custom Shopify App that pulls data from a database and provides pick up locations based on the customer's location. These locations are populating correctly, so Shopify is successfully hitting the apps endpoint and pulling our rates from the app, and is populating successfully at checkout - that all works great. What I can't seem to get to work is the fact that when new rates are being added (that haven't previously been enabled/checked) they are added unchecked by default, even though I have the "Automatically show new shipping services to customers when they become available" option checked.
So my question is this - is there a data point or parameter that can be passed from the app to notify Shopify to automatically enable any new rates/services as they are made available? Does something App-side need to change for this functionality to work? I've been looking through the Carrier Service API and can't seem to find any indication that the burden of this functionality relies on the app, rather than Shopify's system.
Thank you in advance for any input/direction!
