How to build and integrate a new web pixel app to my already existing shopify app

Hi,
I already have an admin app built in ruby on rails and it is being used by the Shopify merchants over the last 3-4 years.  Now, I am planning to build a app pixel to collect the events for analytics purposes.
So, what is the correct approach should I take to build this out:

1. Create a separate app using Shopify CLI (the admin app was developed through 'Manual' option, not through Shopify CLI) and ask the merchants to install this additional app.

2. Or is there a way to extend my admin app to include web pixels, so that any new merchant does not need to install two apps? If so, any links to documentation or articles would be helpful.

Hi, 

I would love to know if you find an answer to this? 

I have an app developped in PHP using script tags, but I need to migrate this app to work with webpixels ... so far the only way I see is to start the all over again with Remix ... but it's a lot of work. 

I'd love to know if you found a solution.
