How to change sub-category in the Shopify App Store?

Hi all,

We have just launched our first app and for some reason, it's placed within 'Sales and conversion optimization' » 'Upselling and cross-selling'. But we think 'Product bundling' sub-category is more accurate. How can we change the sub-category?

If I go to edit of the app listing, I see only a few categories and the one selected 'Sales and conversion optimization' is probably right.

We are facing the same issue.

 

 I am pushing my app for review, and it is put into "Reports" category. We believe that "Finding Products" is a good category for our app.

 

Please let me know how to move forward with the request to change the category.

Hi Katy, 

 

we are facing the same issue. Our app is in the category "Store Design" and "Customer Service". Customer Service is fine but we would like to change "Store Design" in "Sales and Conversion". Can you forward it to the apps team?

My app just got approved, but the only category is store design, which my app has nothing to do with. It's more fit for something like Customer Support and Reporting. How can I go about getting that changed?

Hello Katy,

Will you please help us in showing the right subcategory for our published app. Currently, we have 5 live apps. We didn't found any possibilities to change/add it from the back-end.

We'd like to have some different categories here.

Hi @Katy,

Can Shopify appstore add the option 'preferred categories' in app listing? 

In this way, we can submit it during app submission instead of asking for partner support.
