How to create local pickup orders with Shopify POS Pro?

Hi everyone! 

We plan to use Shopify POS Pro to sell food products at a local festival and we are currently looking into how to notify customers when their order is ready for pickup. 

Shopify POS Pro seems to offer a feature that allows POS staff to see orders with local pickup/delivery and they can also mark them as "ready for pickup/delivery".

However, I am currently not finding any information on how these pickup orders can be created from within the POS app. Is this possible without using any 3rd-party app such as Zapiet etc.? In light of the fast pace of processing orders, I'd like to keep complexity at a minimum for my staff.
