How to Customize or Remove the Tooltip Text in Shopify Chat Inbox

Hello Shopify Community,

I need help with the Shopify Chat Inbox integrated into my store. Currently, when I hover over the chat area, a tooltip displays the text “OnlineShop-Chat by Shopify”.

I would like to change or completely remove this text. I’ve explored the chat settings in my Shopify theme and app but haven’t found an option to modify the tooltip text.

Has anyone here been able to customize or remove the tooltip text? If this requires editing the code, could someone provide step-by-step instructions on how to safely make this change?

Hello Bryan,

unfortunately I have not found a solution yet, but I will def. put an update here when I find one, I am still on it how to solve that issue.
