I don't think it is supported yet.

You'll need to create your new GA property using the Advanced Options and specify that you want to create a Universal Analytics property. Here is the help article: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/10269537?hl=en

Note: you can't change it later so if you already created the property as GA 4 then you'll need to delete it and go again.

Hello @Camweara,

Greetings from flareAI app - get free sales from Google! I am Gina, and I am here to help.

Shopify currently only supports Universal Analytics (UA) tracking code in their platform. This means that you will not be able to directly input a Google Analytics 4 (GA4) tracking code in your Shopify app.

However, you can still track your Shopify store's data in GA4 by setting up a data stream for your website in your GA4 property and using the measurement ID provided to create a custom script that tracks events and data in GA4.

There are several ways to create a custom script, including using Google Tag Manager or manually adding the GA4 tracking code to your Shopify store's theme files. You may want to consider consulting with a developer or a digital marketing agency to help you with this process.

Alternatively, you can continue to use UA tracking code in your Shopify store and set up cross-domain tracking between your UA and GA4 properties to ensure that you can track and analyze data across both platforms.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Gina
