How to integrate Shopify app "Product Reviews" with a native mobile application?

Hello, we are building native Android and iOS applications and are hoping to be able to display and write reviews in the application on the product page.

The installation page features iPhone and Android sections, but just displays liquid code and doesn't actually seem relevant to native development. 

This post from ~3 years ago seems to indicate this isn't possible, but I'm hoping Shopify has made improvements to make their app more useful for mobile Shopify development.
