How to limit customer order quantities based on inventory levels?

Summary:
Need an app that can monitor current on hand quantities, and then apply logic in terms of how many a customer could order.

Example:
Product abc we have 12 on hand. We want to create a rule, that once the on hand amount drops to 10 or less, a customer can only order 1 at a time.

Once the products on hand inventory increases above 10, the rule would no longer be in effect.

Goal: Limit the amount of a product that can be purchased once inventory levels drop below a threshold.

This can be achieved using the custom code in your theme.

You have to edit the script of add to cart page and cart page.

I reviewed your requirement and it's a bit specific (Once the products on hand inventory increases above 10, the rule would no longer be in effect.)

I'm familiar with a few apps that generally offer limiting functionality like setting minimum and maximum limits on product quantities. However, I don't know an app that tracks the quantities on hand. So I think that it may require to write custom codes to fulfill your business needs.
