How to profile clients and customize product visibility?

Hello, I have the following challenge:

I need to profile clients (asking them about their preferences) and based on the answers, assign them a profile to allow them to see only some collections and/or products... the idea is that every time When the client logs in, it will “remember” their preferences and show them only the collections and products that match their profile...of course, if they browse anonymously I will show them everything.

Has anyone figured out how to solve it? using apps, tags, segmentation apps...etc?

Yes, it can be done with custom code in the theme and a few settings in Shopify. We have to change almost every file where product listing is available.

I think there are couple of apps on Shopify app store which might be able to resolve your purpose, you can check out LimeSpot Personalizer", "ReBuy Personalization Engine".

Hi @MBP1 our Customer Fields app can help you here.

Using the app, you can create unique customer forms on the registration page, customer account page, or elsewhere. You can then use the app's form rules to tag customers based on responses.

Then, use Liquid to display products or collections based on customer tag, or use Locksmith (not affiliated) to do the same thing without coding.
