How to sell ropes by meter on an e-commerce platform?

We are looking to sell ropes. They come in different thickness, colour and then the customer can select the length required.

We thought if we set the product for the "per meter" cost and then add the other elements as variants. I can do this with the thickness and colour however the length is seeming tricky. we would prefer the customer to select preferred length and then the price automatically calculates price and updates price on page.

We cant use the "Unit" value for this because customers may wish to by 2 x same lengths of rope and if we use the units then it combines this at checkout so the customer would end up with 20m rather that 2 x 10m.

We will need an app as there will be more than 100 variants.
