Hi all, i need some recomendation apps to restrict my specific product to buy.

So i want to sell product Y, but if someone need to buy that product they must buy / add to cart product X.

And with maximum qty for product Y (1 product for 1 invoice)

Hey!

I’ve had to deal with a similar scenario where I needed to make sure certain products were only available as part of a bundle and couldn’t be purchased separately.

Setting this up can take a bit of configuring, but I found a method that worked for me using MBC Bundles.

Here’s how I set it up to ensure product "Y" is only available when purchased with product "X":

1. Create a Standard Bundle:

Start by creating a new bundle in MBC Bundles. In the app’s dashboard, click "Create Bundle" and choose "Standard Bundle" as the bundle type

2. Select Bundle Display Type:

Choose how you want the bundle to be displayed on your store. You have the option to show the bundle as a standalone product or as a widget on product pages. In this case, select "Bundle as a Product" to ensure it appears as its own product page, which helps customers understand that these products are meant to be bought together

3. Add Products to the Bundle:

Next, select the items that will be part of the bundle. You can add multiple products, ensuring that the main item ("X") is paired with the additional item ("Y") that you want to offer exclusively within this bundle

4. Move to the Discount Setup Step:

Go to the discount step, where you’ll configure the pricing policies for the bundle. If you want to avoid adding a direct discount, select the option that specifies that discounts are on the Shopify side. This is crucial because it allows the bundle to be recognized as a combined product without any separate discount adjustments affecting it

5. Set Bundle Display on Cart Page:

In the final step, choose how the bundle should be displayed on the cart page. To maintain the visibility of each item within the bundle, select "As Multiple Products." This ensures that each product in the bundle is displayed separately on the cart page, reinforcing that the "Y" product is tied to the "X" product purchase

6. Finalize and Save the Bundle:

Once everything is set up, review the details, name your bundle, and hit "Save." This will create a bundle that only allows "Y" to be added when "X" is also in the cart.

This approach worked for me when I needed to create a setup where customers couldn’t just grab the additional product separately. It helped clarify the rules for customers and kept my promotions streamlined

Hope this helps!
