App reviews, troubleshooting, and recommendations
I connected my Pinterest account to shopify. In Shopify under Ad Setting it says, "We will sync all your products to Pinterest and automatically create and publish Pins for you." However none of my products or none of the pins have been created on my Pinterest Business Profile. It says it would do it automatically so why aren't all of my products from the catalogue on profile as Pins? Thanks!!
Hi, @ Eliza1622!
My name is Lilith, I'm on the Social Care team at Shopify.
I'm excited to hear that you're taking advantage of an untapped platform for holiday promotions! It's a successful platform for various types of businesses and at the current moment doesn't have too much competition like Facebook and Instagram do.
The current Pinterest App is supported by Pinterest as it is built to work with Shopify. However, to help troubleshoot and narrow down what might be happening, here are a few things that you'll want to check to make sure those products are synced up and ready to work on Pinterest.
1. Ensure that all of the requirements shown in the image below are met for each product that you'd like to pin and promote on Pinterest.
2. After connecting the app with Shopify, locate the Pinterest Tag & Ad account number in the Pinterest app as shown below.
3. Add billing and accept terms before creating ad campaigns with pins
4. Creating a new Pinterest campaign in Shopify Marketing should look like this if all the steps above are completed
Pinterest also has some terms and restrictions as well that you can review for reference as you work on your promotional pins.
Let me know how you do with the information above! I'm happy to answer any questions you think of as you work on your business.

Hi, thank you for your reply. Yes, everything is connected exactly like all the pictures you have above. My issue is that it says I have 50 “live” products on Pinterest and my catalog from Shopify with the 50 products should be showing up on my Pinterest profile but the Pins/50products weren’t automatically created as it says that Pinterest would do. Therefore no one can see any of my products. Essentially even though I have everything connected and it’s working the “pins” weren’t created and my business profile is blank. Where I want the 50 products to show up. Thanks !!!
I am having very similar issues. I set up Pinterest correctly on Shopify (just like shown above) but in Pinterest there are no products or catalogs available. I have been trying to figure this out for weeks. I sent a help request directly to Pinterest and so far just got an email with links for support none of which answer my issues.
Hi! This was able to help me out. Hopefully it helps you as well.
So you want to do those steps in Pinterest
Hi, @tumbleweed! Thanks for the reply. If you're experiencing the exact same situation in this reply of the thread, I would recommend first checking to ensure everything is fully connected as this reply here shows. If you're fully connected I suggest moving on to following the information in this reply as well as this screenshot reply from the OP.

@Eliza1622 I understand what you mean now! The Pinterest app/integration doesn't automatically publish pins to your profile/account on Pinterest. However, it automatically keeps your catalog or product groups on your Pinterest account updated with any new products you have added. The catalog is only for you to choose and pick which products you want to pin to your profile. Audiences don't see catalogs on Pinterest as that's how they created the feature, however, it makes it easy for you to select what you want to promote on Pinterest in your product groups. Pinterest has a help page here on creating those shopping pins and promotions.
I'm glad you had a chance to speak with Pinterest's support team about the challenges you were having with creating your pins there. I appreciate that you've also added that info into the thread here for others to find similar help!

I can't see my new added product on Pinterest as well. I followed the instruction you provided and went to Pinterest ads/catalog, however there are no products on the page except for the below error message:
“This site can't be reached.
The webpage at HTTP://www.pinterest.ca/product-catalogs/?advertiserid=549761974310 might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

Please help!
