How to switch model variant image on Shopify based on shirt size?

Does anyone know how this was made?

As you can see they have an option to switch models based on the size of shirts the model is wearing.

It looks like you haven't shared the link you were referring to. If you can share that I'd be happy to give you an idea of how that was done. 

It seems to me that you're wondering how to make the image change based on the variant selected. Shopify has this by default if you choose variant images. Check out this guide on how you can accomplish that.

I'd also recommend checking out some sizing chart apps here. You can use a free version of one of these apps to offer a dynamic sizing chart on your site.

Although I can't confirm if that's an app or a custom code solution. I've found the app Smart Size Chart, which should allow you to do a similar function. You can also reach out to their team directly as they're able to help with setups for your shop.
