How to use custom fulfillment and mark auto-delivered after fulfillment company delivery?

hello

I started selling on the Shopify web and decided to use Fulfillment, but the fulfillment company I chose was not connected to Shopify.

and from my information, I need to use a custom fulfillment And must mark "delivered the order" after the fulfillment company delivers.
which I think doing so is cumbersome. because I have a full-time job

So I would like to know if there is any way to have the order sent directly to the fulfillment company and automatically marked as shipped on Shopify web.

For example, hire a Shopify expert to develop the app. Or create an interface between Shopify and a fulfillment company.

I really hope this solves the problem.
thank you, everybody, for helping

This is an accepted solution.

Ideally the fulfillment company has an app, but if not, here are some solutions:

a) You can use Order Automator app to automatically send order notifications to specific suppliers / fulfillment partners, with just their products in the order. Then they can enter the tracking information in a portal connected to the app, which then adds that to your order and marks it fulfilled (which of course triggers the tracking notification to the customer and marks the order complete if all items are fulfilled).

b) You can build powerful custom apps (I've built a bunch for various stores) that can do pretty much anything you want. In this case you could work with your fulfillment partner to see what kind of interface would be best. For example, you could create an app that mimics your Shopify orders page but only shows orders / items for that supplier / fulfillment center. Then they can log in and check orders, add tracking, etc... then the actions they take there would update your orders in your actual Shopify admin.

c) You could give them access to your orders area in the Shopify admin. I've only seen this if you have a really close relationship with the supplier, like they are your only supplier / fulfillment company, and you trust them with the data in your Shopify admin orders.

If you need help with a solution using Order Automator feel free to reach out to my team at orderautomator.com/contact (I'm the lead developer of the app). I can also help you find an app developer if you decide to go the custom route, I would try to find an existing solution first though, could save you a few thousand dollars and with a custom app you'll still have a monthly cost for the server to host the app.

One other idea, you can ask your fulfillment partner if they have other clients that use Shopify, and what solution they are using for fulfillment. This could spark some discussion on the possibility of them creating an app if they have multiple Shopify store partners and are looking to expand their business (I saw a print on demand company do this before, and now they have a nice automated solution for their Shopify clients).

Hey @WMcash! I understand that you marked this as solved, but I believe I have a solution that might be more suitable for your needs.

From my understanding, you have fulfillment centers (1 or more) that fulfill your orders, but because they're not on Shopify, you'd have to update the status manually. An order management solution like Duoplane could resolve your problem; let me explain how.

1. Both you and your fulfillment center will connect to Duoplane.
2. When an order is made, Duoplane will send the order to your fulfillment center to fulfill.

3. Once fulfilled, Duoplane will send a confirmation with the tracking number back to Shopify, which automatically marks the order as fulfilled, and sends out the tracking number to your customer.

It's that simple!

This is a dropshipping process where you sell the products, and either 3PL partners or vendors fulfill the order for you. Duoplane also can handle multiple fulfillment centers and vendors. Additional features on top of order routing and order management includes inventory syncing, shipment feed automation, electronic invoicing, analytics, and more.

Best of all, their customer support is excellent, and you can get a free trial before making any commitment. Do your research to see what best suits your needs. Don't just take my word for it - check out Duoplane on the Shopify app store and read their reviews.

Cheers,
Delwin
