I am un able to use my socket mobile barcode scanner on my shopify app on osx.

I just got a socket mobile scanner and I am trying to use it to check products, it puts the correct barcode number in but it can not locate the products by the barcode. I have 2500 or so different barcodes and I got the scanner to make adding products to location transfers, more quickly. but it only puts the number in the search bar, what am I missing.

 using s730 and macbook pro m1
