Hi.

I have GA4 accounts set up for different stores under a single email address. However in Google Merchant Center it doesnt allow you to add multiple stores in the same way. There is no new account button to add a seperate store.

In the Google and Youtube app it does have a option to create new. This appears to work and I can see my seperate store in Google Merchant Center. But it talks about Comparison Shopping Services which it lists my main store and the new brand I have added. It is not clear what the comparison Shopping service is.

Since doing this I have also read about requesting an Advanced Account setup which I have not done yet? Should I have done this first? Can I just go ahead and add my products to there new account I created in the Google & YouTube app? Should I retrospectively request an Advanced Account setup.

There seems to be lots of warnings that your account could be banned if you do this and products are too similar. We sell clothing and gifts under different unrelated brands in our different stores. Ie we sell alot of t-shirts but they are different brands for each store.

In the past I have created seperate google accounts to greate new Merchant Center accounts. I have then added the email as a user for the appropriate GA4 property. I can then add the seperate email address when connection the app but still access the GA4 data. Is this a better way to go?

It means maintaining several gmail accounts just to hold seperate Merchant Center Accounts. It would be so much easier just to log into may main Google acccout and and select the appropriate GA4 account and Merchant Center Account from a list. It works perfectly for GA4.

Any help on the best way to manage multiple stores in the Google & Youtube app would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Darren

First, please be aware that Google will usually suspend businesess with multiple websites, as it is seen as abuse of adnetwork. So proceed at your own risk, and at risk of suspending your first website as well. It does not matter if they are different brands, products, niche etc, expect a suspension.

Google wants to avoid advertising abuse, which multiple websites is.

To add a new website, you need to enabled an advanced account here is a guide:

If you can't click on the advanced button, you need to contact Google and ask them to be separated from Shopify, then you can request an advanced account.

Hi Emmanuel

My main concern is having any of my websites suspended. Seems pointless proceeding if it is such a high risk. I was interested in this purely to streamline managing product feeds for different stores.

Is it safer to create a merchant acount under a separate email and link this as a user to the stores GA4 account or should I separate everything under the new account totally separate GA4 and Merchant accounts for the new store?

Thank you for your help

Darren

Regardles how you proceed, setting up multiple accounts, stores, websites, busiensses, etc. Will put you at high risk for getting suspended.

Just use 1 website, and list all your products on 1 website.
