Is it possible for me to enable a Loyalty Program that is specific to each market on my Shopify store? For example, customers who visit my store from the US can earn 1 loyalty point per 1 USD spent, while customers who visit my store from Singapore can also earn 1 loyalty point per 1 SGD spent?
Thanks in advance
Yes, it’s possible but it depends on the loyalty app you’re using.
Apps like Smile.io, LoyaltyLion, and Rise.ai allow you to create market-specific earning rules, especially if your store uses Shopify Markets with regional pricing or domains.
You can usually set rules like:
Make sure your app supports currency-based rules or customer segmentation by country or tags.
Let me know which app you’re using and I can help with exact steps!
All the best,

Hi @tastebudds
Yes, with third party apps such as LoyaltyLion or Smile, you can set loyalty rules market wise. io. " recomiendaciones Estas aplicaciones permiten lógica para ganar puntos con monedas locales. If not, then assign point values for location based on customer tags, or using Shopify Markets sort custom scripting in the app.
Hi @tastebudds ,
I have checked and confirmed that using AiTrillion there is a workaround like you can provide points based on a tag. For example, if the customer location is from China, based on location, we can add a tag, and on bthe asis of the tag, we can provide points. You can create the segment as per your need for different use case but I want to confirm you that whenever customers redeem the points, they all will have the same percentage, orthe type of discount code will be the same.
I don't really think that the other apps which mentioned above like Smile or Loyalty lion or Wise.io, have the option for the market.
If you want to know more, please message me or reply here. I am more than happy to help you.
Hey there @AiTrillion,
Thanks very much for the quick response. To answer your question, our customers will indeed be receiving the same percentage discounts and / or free shipping upon redemption of points.
I'd like to know a little more about the tagging feature. It's great that the tags can be assigned according to location, but are there any conversion issues when it comes to the currency paid when I use Shopify payments? For example, let's say my base currency is SGD, and my customer makes payment in USD, are the points calculated according to the SGD amount received or is it in accordance to the USD amount paid?
As I mentioned in my original post, I'd like to be able to reward my customers with the same rate; i.e. 10 points for 10 SGD, and 10 points for 10 USD.
Thanks very much!
Hi @tastebudds ,
Basically, what I understand is that you want to provide the Loyalty points to customers and whenever the customers redeem Loyalty points, they will get discount based on currency suppose if currency is USA, the points/discount should be provided based on USD if region is Singapore than the discount/points should be provided in SGD. Basically, it can be achievable using AiTrillion but we have following questions:
1.) How are you managing different currencies? (Through Plugin or Shopify)
2.) If possible, could you please provide the collab code at ankit@aitrillion.com so that we can check and find the Workaround for you?
3.) What is your base currency?
Optional step you can do -

Hey @AiTrillion,
Yes, that's exactly what I want to achieve. Just for a bit of background, this function will be for a new brand that I'm launching at the end of Q3 - Q4 this year. To answer your questions:
1. We'll be handling the different currencies through Shopify, specifically Shopify Payments.
2. Once we have our page up, we we can share the collab code.
3. The base currency will be in Singaporean Dollars, SGD.
Do let me know if there is any other information that may help you find a workaround for us.
Thanks very much
