I have developed a Unity application that integrates with Shopify stores to fetch product data (such as images and information) and displays them in a 3D interactive environment. Now, I want to create an extension of this application that Shopify merchants can install on their stores.
The extension would:
- Fetch product data (images, descriptions, prices, etc.) dynamically from the merchant's Shopify store after installation.
- Display the products in a Unity-powered 3D environment embedded directly within the merchant’s Shopify website.
I’d like to understand:
- What are the best practices for embedding such an interactive 3D Unity WebGL environment within Shopify websites?
- How should the app handle authentication and access to product data for each store that installs it?
- Are there any guidelines or technical requirements for embedding external applications into Shopify websites?
- Would it be possible to submit such an app to the Shopify App Store, and what requirements would need to be met?
