Inventory Management System

Hello, We are a small business and purchase clothing items and sell them via Shopify. Currently, we are using Shopify, Dear Inventory & Xero. Dear Inventory is managing our inventory but I think it's very complex for our needs. We basically want to keep track of our inventory quantity and value so that we know where we are at. Does anyone have experience with this? I assume this is a basic requirement for any online business. I get overwhelmed when Shopify offers so many inventory management apps. Do we even need an app? Can we manage it with just Shopify & Xero? Appreciate your ideas.
