IOS APP BARCODE EDITING

I’ve been using Shopify for over 10 years. 
in this time they’ve proven time again they know nothing about retail and understand very little about how their users use their platform. Updates are random and the prioritise bull features that delivery little optimisation for customers. 
so here we are again…

this time, the option to edit or add barcode information in the Shopify IOS app has disappeared. So far Shopify support has asked me to delete and reinstall the app and to use desktop… they don’t even know themselves if this was previously available (it was) and why it’s disappeared. Any insight or knowledge appreciated
