Is 'free plan available' the same as a free trial?

Does free plan available mean a free trial or does it mean you can use the app without the paid features.

Most Shopify apps offer both a free plan and a free trial for paid plans. 
For free trial, they are likely to specify a 14-day free trial or 30-day free trial.

If the application is advertised as Free Plan available means that you will be provided a plan with free features to use on your online store. You will have the option to upgrade to a paid plan for additional features. Free trial for the application will mean you will have a specific amount of days to use the application for free until the trial has ended. Each application will vary on which features and functions you will have access to during the free trial on the application.

so, does that mean if i use an app that has free xx-day trial plan but also have a free plan, and i use the free plan, does that mean my free plan is beyond the 7 day trial  restriction? as in free forever until i plan to purchase the paid plan.

free plan available means there is more than one plan and some of that plans are free and you could use the free one with the features that come along with the free plan.
