Is it possible to create a custom Shopify app using .net?

Hey there,

I'm currently doing some research regarding creation of custom apps for Shopify plattforms.

Of course I've found the tutorial of creating a sample app and install it in our dev shop. Using the CLI tool 3 app  templates are being provided: node, ruby and php.

Now I wonder if these are the only ways of developing a custom app for Shopify or if it might be possible to write a custom app using .net - not for calling Shopify APIs (for that I could use ShopifySharp), but for an app that a merchant can install into his shop.

Is it possible to use .net to create a Shopify custom app?
