App reviews, troubleshooting, and recommendations
Hello All,
Like many of you, I'm a struggling and hard-working entrepreneur trying to grow my business. I'm looking for help in determining if there are any wholesale pricing apps that are compatible with variant product options? I currently use "ADVANCED PRODUCT OPTIONS" by mageworx to offer customization and upsells on products I sell on my site. The app allows the customer to customize the options they want to order - and it automatically adjusts the prices accordingly. It works by creating a product variant for each customization a customer creates.
But I now need the ability to offer wholesale pricing to my clients, and magework has been very unhelpful in letting me know if there are any compatible wholesale pricing apps. The company sent me a vague answer that implied it wasn't compatible with any due to the variant pricing issue. I tested one wholesale pricing app, Wholesale Club, and found it wouldn't work due to mageworx.
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience or advice to offer? The only solution I can come up with is creating a second wholesale-only store, but that's a pricey solution.
Thank you.

Hello @Work24X7 welcome, you generally need to find apps from the same developer to expect things like this to interoperate. Example Boldcommerce options app and discounts apps.
If options do not affect prices or skus get rid of the variant options app and bake it into the theme as a customization. https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-design/product-pages-get-customization-information-for-produ...
There are also automation apps like usemechanic that could be scripted to create draft orders with specific pricing or generate custom discounts.

If the wholesale offering isn't profitable why are you doing it?
It's much saner to sync inventory on the backend of two different shopify stores than it is to get various random frontend apps to work in tandem with other random backend apps.
Not to mention user mgmt, content mgmt, marketing, discounts, design, etc etc.
You can also always try to negotiate a lower rate for having multiple stores.
If a store is on the enterprise Plus plan either use checkout-scripts, the dedicated wholesale channel or an expansion store covered by that plan.

I would like to thank you for responding to my question. You made me realize that I shouldn't proceed with a wholesale site because I have too many doubts about its success. Why make life even more difficult and add technical issues? I've decided to shift gears with my business as a result. Thank you!!
Hi @Work24X7,
Based on your requirements for custom product options and wholesale pricing features, I have a suggestion that might be a perfect fit for you. I recommend trying out the Easify Product Options app, as it offers both of these functionalities.
With this app, you can easily create and manage custom product options for your store. It provides 24 option types and advanced features to enhance the customization experience.
Additionally, the app also includes wholesale pricing features, allowing you to set up tiered pricing or quantity-based discounts to cater to your wholesale customers.
In other words, by using the Easify Product Options app, you can enjoy the convenience of having both product options and wholesale pricing in one solution. Not yet, it offers an affordable pricing structure, including a Free plan and a Pro plan at just $9.99/month regardless of the number of your products, ensuring that you get the most value for your investment 👍.
You should give the app a try and see if it meets your specific requirements 😊.
