Is it possible to sell a discount subscription?

Hi everybody

I'm not sure that "Shopify Apps" is the right location but is there an app (or some other method) that allows you to sell discount subscriptions (like Costco)? I'm trying my hand at dropshipping and an example would be that I mark up all my products by 200% or 3x and offer a $49 USD per annum subscription that earns a 50% discount (in other words reducing the markup to 50% or 1.5x).

Is there an app for that or a work around that can produce the same result?
