Is my app considered V2 compatible if I still use script tags?

I'm developing an app that uses scriptTags to inject a script onto the thank you page for analytics purposes.

The issue is that if I move the script into an embedded app block, it won't execute on the thank you page, because, as I've read on the forums, the app-embedded blocks do not have access to the thank you page.

An alternative would be to use a checkout extension app, more specifically, a Web Pixel Extension. However, until now, this type of extension is still in beta so it's available only for development stores.

Taking all this into consideration, is my app still considered V2 compatible if scriptTags are used?
