Is shared hosting suitable for app publishing?

We want to publish our APP and want to host the app in Shared host. Is this possible or not recommended?

Probably late to answer this but I will go ahead and answer to help anyone in the future who might have a similar question.
Yes it is possible to host your Shopify app backend on a shared hosting as long as the hosting service offers resources enough to run your app backend.

But as you can possibly imaging the limitations that come with shared hosting, its not a recommended to host your app on shared hosting especially when it gets some good traction in the app store ( good number of installations )
