Is shopify email better alternative than mailchimp?

Spending around 100.00 a month with mailchimp and just saw I can use Shopify app for mail, just wondering if its worth it to just use shopify for my e mail list since its under 5000 subscribers/

I also personally migrated from Klaviyo to shopify email, it is an amazing app to use and you might need to take some leverage of shopify flow too.
