Is there reliable product customizer app?

Hi, I am hoping to get advise on a reliable product customizer app please.  I had a bad experience with the Product Options & Customizer app when I included price increases on a product based on the size the customer selected.  The cart icon would show 1251 when it should be 1 as an example, the cart page looked like it would reload and flicker, show the variable cost addition in a second product line and not ultimately not show clearly for customers to understand.  I enquired with the support team but told it can't be improved with no real extra effort so I've uninstalled it.  

Wary now, many look great with mostly 4 or 5 star ratings but I've been reading the 1 star reviews of others and they do sound problematic which I would really like to avoid.  From your experience, have you found one that does its job; working nicely from product option selection and through the ordering process?  I don't mind having to go through a trial and error period to a degree but I would greatly appreciate any advise to try an minimize redoing this.  Thank you.

Hi, thank you for the recommendation.  It looks like it does a lot of great things on building and adding to pages but not options within products.  It would be great if it had a demo store to have a closer look, but doesn't so I don't think it is suitable.

The most reliable app is always a custom app - the one developed exclusively for your store and your requirements 🙂
There are definitely reliable apps in Shopify app store, but any of them can cause issues in your store because of the incompatibility with other apps you are using, your theme and so on. So the easiest way is to test those that have a trial period (yes, I know it is time consuming, but can help you).

Hi Ophélie Jeanne, yes it came up as an ad on my Instagram recently and it looks great.  The tricky part is, product options have looked good and done what I wanted, which is great, but in the cart page it looked unclear and made the page reload a number of times which put me off the app I used initially.  Looking on the Kickflip demo store there was one price variant that I added and on the cart page it did appear clear and the cart icon showed 1, all which wasn't good before so I might try it and failing that, go down the custom app option mentioned in another comment.  Thank you.

Kickflip is nice but takes some time to figure out.  Unfortunately, its very expensive.  They charge 2.19% of every purchase with no cap.  If you offer free shipping they don't account for that either.
