Issue with automation of Customs Declarations for Shipments via shipstation

Hi Shopify Community,

I'm facing a challenge with the automatic generation of customs declarations for products shipped via letter suivi by La Poste. Currently, all declarations for international orders outside Europe have to be done manually for each order, which is not ideal.

I tried using ShipStation, and everything seemed fine initially. I managed to create an automation rule for customs declarations based on orders. However, I cannot generate the declarations before creating the shipping label/stamp. The main issue is that I cannot generate the customs declarations from the beginning because of the chosen carrier, which is La Poste letter tracking in this case.

When I asked ShipStation about this, they informed me that they do not support international orders via La Poste letter suivi, which prevents me from generating a customs declaration.

I wonder if anyone else has faced the same problem and found a solution, or if there is an application that can handle this issue.

La Poste Letter Suivi doesn't support automatic customs declarations for international orders. Here's how to solve it:

1. Upgrade shipping: Use a La Poste service with electronic customs declarations (e.g., Colissimo).

2. Third-party app: Integrate a Shopify app for customs declarations with La Poste Letter Suivi.

3. Manual declaration (temporary): Continue manual declarations if your international order volume is low.

Choose the solution that fits your business needs and shipment volume. Consider contacting La Poste for future options and explore Shopify apps for integration.
