I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge and express my appreciation for the exceptional support we received in resolving the issue with the Magical Product Fees extension in the Shopify POS app. Thanks to the quick and efficient responses from both Shopify Plus Support and Magical Apps, we were able to get things back up and running smoothly in no time!
Here’s a brief overview of the issue and how it was resolved:
On September 20th, we encountered a 500 error across all six of our retail locations when using the Magical Product Fees app in Shopify POS. After trying a few troubleshooting steps on our end, including checking for updates and restarting the devices, the issue persisted.
I reached out to Shopify Plus Support (special thanks to Oumniya for your responsiveness!) and the team quickly began investigating. It was identified as a cache-related issue, which was promptly resolved after clearing cache and cookies on some of the affected devices. In the meantime, Shopify’s developers had already pushed a fix.
Magical Apps was also in constant communication with me and the Shopify developers, monitoring the situation closely and confirming that the issue was indeed resolved on Shopify’s end.
I’m truly impressed with how quickly the support teams jumped into action. Their collaboration and swift response allowed us to minimize downtime and restore normal operations for our team and customers.
