App reviews, troubleshooting, and recommendations
I just installed the Order Limits (Min-Max) app, and it has been great for limiting my store purchase quantities. However, I've run into a loophole with my discovery box sample set that has multiple options to choose from as one purchase item. You are still able to add this item more than the limitation I restrict the buyer from, I believe because it has multiple variants attached to it. Is there a way to restrict this sample pack item regardless of the multiple variations you can add to this item in the cart?

Hello @EpicQuest
Hope you are doing well
Have you got any solution? if not then you can try the MultiVariants - Bulk order app in your Shopify store.
By using this app you can apply (Min-Max) restrictions on your variants an also the restrictions will work on the cart page as well.
We believe that the restrictions should work on the cart page or else the customer can edit the variants after "Add to cart" and there will be no point in restrictions. To make it work on the cart page we use some css. After applying that code your customer won't able to edit the cart page.
With this app, you can set the minimum-maximum restrictions for variants, so your customer must choose a quantity from all the available variants before going to the cart page. Additionally, through this app, restrictions for minimum-maximum quantities, predefined bundles, interval quantities, and limits on variants and orders can be achieved. These restrictions are also applicable on the cart page.
If you’ve different criteria for different products in your store, then you can set rules according to that also. You’ll get 3 days of the trial along with great customer support for exploring all other features.
here is the Sample store
Thank you for the info, Trapa! I decided to just leave it the way it is and allow the buyer to buy more than one discovery box per transaction with the exception that it doesn't have the exact same variants. Thank you, again!
You're always welcome
Hey @EpicQuest ,
It sounds like the issue you're encountering is due to the multiple variants in your sample set. Here's a workaround using DC Order limits app to ensure the limitation applies regardless of the multiple variants:
This way, the limit will apply to the entire sample pack, regardless of the variations added to the cart. If you have multiple products in this sample set, you could select Any products as groupings and tag to target specific products as a group.
