Looking for a way to connect inventory across multiple stores

Hi guys,

We are experiencing some difficulty managing our inventory across 3 different websites.

Our problem: 3 (soon 4) different Shopify stores with the same products. Inventory isn't linked so we have to manage it constantly removing & adding from stores + counting inventory manually.

Looking for an app or solution that connect the inventory so we can synchronize it and preferably also update in one place. Thanks in advance 🙂

Nick here from Shopify. 

I see exactly what you mean and you are correct as this would need an app or a very detailed (and probably costly) customization. In saying that, let's look at the Shopify App store for some potential options. 

There are two apps which stick out when I looked further into this. The reason they stuck out is that they stated clearly in the description as the main feature that they can do multi-store syncing which is exactly what you're looking for. A lot of the other apps could have this feature but it's not their primary function. Let's take a look at the apps below:

• Syncio
• Multi-Store Sync Power

Some other good apps and possibilities include: 

• SKULabs
• Stock Sync

Hopefully, something from above can do what you need.

Hi @Jimmy13 I find myself wanting to test your solution in a store that is still in development and as it is still not on a Shopify Plan I can't try if it is the solution for me. Any tips on how to try your product before actually finishing my store?

Hi there,

I have two Shopify sites that will share the same inventory but with some conditions:

• Store One will have ALL inventory except for a specific vendor (licencing is only on Store two)
• Store Two has all products over a specific value (and the specific vendor that it has the licence for)

I have read through the descriptions for the above apps but can't see if they will allow for site-level conditions to sync inventory. Does anyone know how I can achieve what I am trying to do? These stores are in development and up to now I am using basic CSV uploads that I have manually put together. Once I start selling products it will become impossible to manage.

Our platform specialises in connecting up multiple stores and managing everything either from our product data management system or you can set one store to act as a primary and update inventory from there. The way we structure the data flows is that you can specify which products you actually feed to your secondary stores rather than everything.

Another thing to consider is to accurately track stock levels you will need to be capturing all orders from both stores. You could push all orders into one store and that would then adjust your inventory levels or we can capture everything into our system and recalculate stock levels accordingly.
