Looking for a way to connect inventory across multiple stores

Hi guys,

We are experiencing some difficulty managing our inventory across 3 different websites.

Our problem: 3 (soon 4) different Shopify stores with the same products. Inventory isn't linked so we have to manage it constantly removing & adding from stores + counting inventory manually.

Our websites:

https://www.leren-handschoenen.nl

https://www.lederhandschuhe.de

https://www.schwartz-vonhalen.nl

Looking for an app or solution that connect the inventory so we can synchronize it and preferably also update in one place. Thanks in advance 🙂

Hi Marnix,

Nick here from Shopify.

I see exactly what you mean and you are correct as this would need an app or a very detailed (and probably costly) customization. In saying that, let's look at the Shopify App store for some potential options.

There are two apps which stick out when I looked further into this. The reason they stuck out is that they stated clearly in the description as the main feature that they can do multi-store syncing which is exactly what you're looking for. A lot of the other apps could have this feature but it's not their primary function. Let's take a look at the apps below:

Some other good apps and possibilities include:

Hopefully, something from above can do what you need.

Hi Marnix,

Along with the multi-channel sync software suggested above by Nick, you might find using an inventory package is another good option to consider as it will consolidate your numbers across channels in the one place. If you handmake your own products, you might like to check out Craftybase - we connect with several popular sales channels including Shopify to bring your inventory together 🙂

If you have any questions please let me know!

Hi Marnix and thanks for the referral Nick!

Syncio can solve your problem. We've worked with thousands of merchants with the same problem - syncing inventory with the multiple stores that they manage or work with. We do this is a very simple and quick way - you choose the products that you need to sync and with a click can copy those products over to your store. If the products already exist in your store then you can use our product mapping that syncs by only inventory. Orders and inventory updates are synced in real-time.

For more information, here is our app listing: https://apps.shopify.com/syncio

Hi @Marnix

Also wanted to add another solution to the mix! I built an app called Trunk specifically to help sync inventory across different Shopify stores in real-time. There are already lots of businesses using it to do that. Let me know if you have any questions!

Hi,

I'm having the same issue - however, I am dealing with 2 POS locations & 1 online store (all shopify). Is anyone aware of an app that can help connect the inventory accross those 3 stores?

Hi @Jimmy13 I find myself wanting to test your solution in a store that is still in development and as it is still not on a Shopify Plan I can't try if it is the solution for me. Any tips on how to try your product before actually finishing my store?

Hi Marnix,

Are your stores all using the same base currency? We, at Stock&Buy, have helped many Shopify customers connect multiple stores to one single inventory. We have customers running up to 12 stores all feeding inventory data from one single account. You can find more about Stock&Buy here: https://www.stockandbuy.com/shopify-inventory-management/

Feel free to reach out to our support channel and I will be happy to assist with a demo 🙂

Kind regards,

Tahar.

Hi there,

I have two Shopify sites that will share the same inventory but with some conditions:

  • Store One will have ALL inventory except for a specific vendor (licencing is only on Store two)
  • Store Two has all products over a specific value (and the specific vendor that it has the licence for)

I have read through the descriptions for the above apps but can't see if they will allow for site-level conditions to sync inventory. Does anyone know how I can achieve what I am trying to do? These stores are in development and up to now I am using basic CSV uploads that I have manually put together. Once I start selling products it will become impossible to manage.

Please help!

Thanks,

Nigel

Hi Nigel

Our platform specialises in connecting up multiple stores and managing everything either from our product data management system or you can set one store to act as a primary and update inventory from there. The way we structure the data flows is that you can specify which products you actually feed to your secondary stores rather than everything.

Another thing to consider is to accurately track stock levels you will need to be capturing all orders from both stores. You could push all orders into one store and that would then adjust your inventory levels or we can capture everything into our system and recalculate stock levels accordingly.

Let me know if you would like to discuss further or test out our system. You can contact me at tom@channelup.io

Tom

Hello @Marnix,

You can track and sync inventory in real time - with no manual intervention required - across your stores using Leap Multi Store Sync. The set-up is a quick one-time process, and prices and order quantities of selected products are then automatically synced in real-time between you and your partner stores.

Please drop an email to support@leapinventory.com for any questions or help regarding the set-up and we'll help you get up and running in no time!
