Looking for an app to manage out of stock item waitlists?

Hi, 

I'm looking for an app that will build a waitlist for out of stock items.

Specifically, once an item is out of stock, customers will opt to get on a list. Then, as I have stock, I will contact each person on the list in the order that they lined up.

Back in stock apps that simply do an email blast will not work as I want to fulfill requests in the order that they came in.

The Pre-sale apps that I've found either don't automatically kick in when inventory reaches zero, or they don't offer payment on fulfillment.

I'd appreciate any help.

I believe if you accept backorders on the future inventory of the item you have out of stock, would be a better option as compared to creating an Out-of-Stcok waitlist or notifying the customer when the item comes back in stock.
By accepting backorders and displaying the estimated promise date on the product detail page itself, you will be giving a better shopping experience to your customers.

Collaborating with Pre- Back-order Apps like HotWax Commerce would help you to take orders on future inventory.
