Looking for an upsell, bundle or options app that I can vary one of those by variant.

For example we have trees that sell in different sizes, so the install add-on needs to vary the price too.

30 gallon trees install add on is $100

45 gallon the add on would be $200

60 gallon...$300.

I've tried:

• I can make these as variants (with and without install, but then I have inventory tracking issues.
• I can install an options app but I can't get it to change the "Add On" price based on the variant selected
• I can manually add an add-to-cart of a product (the installation service product) but I can't get it to switch when the variant changes ...this one might be the best direction. However, if someone adds 2 trees, they should pay for 2 add-ons also, and in this scenario add-to-cart only adds the add-on/upsell once.

Any help is much appreciated!

Hi

You could set this type of variations up using our bundle app. It lets you connect up all your products to correct SKUs and multiple SKUs to a single variation option. We then update their inventory based on the component stock level and we also have the additional option of unbundling orders made for a bundled product into the component SKUs post purchase. This way the order lines are only for components and can be fulfilled as per normal.

In your example you could have variation options for size of tree and optional addon:

Option 1 : Size

Option 2: Optional Add-on

The user selects both options and the price updates accordingly. For the add-on option you would have a default "no add-on" value. If they purchase multiple quantities the pricing is multiplied correctly.
