Move Custom App To Different Server

Hi Everyone

Not sure if this the right place to ask this question but here it goes. We had a custom app developed by a company for our site ( which is pretty much the backbone that makes it run ) and now we are parting ways with this company  (  we are still on good terms just going a different direction ). They wont help us move our custom app to a different server but they did supply us with all app files we need. What server do most people use for there custom apps? Also is there companies that help you move your app or or even free lancers that anyone has worked with that can help?

The app my brother and I built is hosted on AWS. (he's a die-hard fanboy of aws) it took us a few weeks to figure it out but it seems like its pretty well setup at this point but I tried to insist that we just follow the dev docs that shopify had provided. it seemed more straightforward compared to hosting on aws
