My meta pixel is a total mess. I need a shopify/meta pro to fix it.

Hello guys,

I dont even know where to start. When I started my online store in 2022 I created many pixels because I didn't know how to set everything up. To this day, I have like 15 pixels in my meta business account but used only 1 in the past.

My web store is www.bear-tees.com and the pixel i am using is Bear Tees pixel. Everything was running smoothly ( i assume) until my ad account got hacked in September last year.

After 4 months I started advertising again through a prepaid ad account of meta representative connected to my meta business account. Anyway, after 5 days there were no sales, I checked and my pixel was not working. Using the meta pixel helper, it said no pixel installed on the website. 

When testing the events in Events Manager it showed no activity. Furthermroe the Initiate Checkout and Add Payment info were in yellow...There was no purchase event at all.

I deleted the facebook and instagram channel, installed it again, reconnected the pixel, reconnected it in events manager and nothing. When I go to Test Events in events manager, it doesnt show any activity. I checked the coding in theme.liquid and there is no pixel code installed...

Then I said lets try with a 3rd party app. It worked partially...when I go to Test Events, it shows view page and product view but nothing for initiate checkout and purchase. Instead it shows SubscribedButtonClick. Very very fucked up thing.

At this point I am reinstalling the facebook and instagram sales channel for 100 time and now it says Something went wrong. Your details couldn't be submitted yet. Try again in a few moments.

I am totally desperate. The meta pixel is crucial for facebooks ads to be optimized and find the right audience and clients. I am willing to pay for a professional to check everything related to the pixel and facebooks sales channel and make it right...to fix it once and for all and to show all events: page view, view content, initiate checkout, add to cart, purchase etc.

If we work together i will give you access to my meta business account and shopify so you can clear everything.

Please people, I am desperate to make things work finally after so many months.

There is no need to hire a shopify partner since the problem lies in the meta account (created many pixels... why? Installed FB&IG app 100 times, probably connecting with meta account the same number of times... why?).

Why the heck you don't just hire an expert FROM THE BEGINNING instead of creating this many (sometimes unsolvable) problems?

This is the f***ing reason I hate Shopify: it makes the (stupid) entrepreneur believe he/she can do anything on his/her own, BUT THAT'S NOT TRUE.

Shopify needs more technical skills than many other simpler shop software out there and is just selling because of this "out of the box" readiness that not only sounds like, but it's a whole LIE.

I am in a very similar situation as you, spent a ton of time trying to set up my pixel correctly but there is always something that isnt working. I installed my pixel manually with code but it only tracks pageview and add to cart (although it says SubscribedButtonClick). Did you fix your problem? i would really appreciate to know how it worked out for you/what you did.

I hired a professional from fiverr for 50-60$ and he set up everything nicely- pixel, events, GA4 etc. go to fiverr and find someone. pixel is crucial for fb ads and sales. do not let 50$ ruin ur business.

I understand. Could you please send me the link to the guy who helped you? I have seen a guy on fiverr who charges 10$ to setup pixel, but maybe thats not sufficient..?
